Formulation of New Curriculum in Telangana

The government of Telangana  comes in an action to exclude the Andhra Pradesh related history and study material from the schoolbooks and ordered to replace them with Telangana’s perspective.

The history and culture of Andhra Pradesh will no longer be a part of course in Telangana’s schools from the next academic year and this change in syllabus will not affect the students’ performance.

To execute the plan the government has formulated two committees who will look over the syllabus of the subjects’ history, social studies and Telegu and will add up the telangana’s culture and its rich history in the syllabus.

“The instructions are vivid and clear from the government that there should be no material from Andhra Pradesh history and culture or any literature from poets or writers; everything will be included from the Telangana’s culture”, said committee senior official.
